Important bug fix for invoice late fees
December 18th, 2008We discovered a fairly important bug recently that was fixed this morning.
Invoices that use the late fee feature were not correctly applying that late fee after it was marked paid. If your clients had paid you the late fee would in effect disappear from the invoice afterward – resulting in a negative balance on that invoice.
We’ve gone through and corrected all invoice totals after fixing this bug – so you might find that your numbers have shifted a little.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused anyone out there. Please let us know if you’re confused by the fix, or if this is causing issues for you.
Navigation refresh
December 16th, 2008Longtime Cashboard customers know we’re always making the application better, little by little.
Last night we rolled out a small change that we believe will make a big difference Cashboard’s clarity and appearance.
Old navigation design

New navigation design

In the spirit of simplicity we’ve removed the inactive tab background colors for the default Cashboard color scheme. (But you may still change the background tab color for custom color schemes if you like it the previous way)
We’ve also made the tab bar run the width of the entire application, and tabs keep their position when they’re active.
This provides a much stronger sense of visual placement while navigating the application, and greatly reduces the clutter that was creeping in.
Default scheme
All previous color schemes that were not customized have been reset to our standard “Cashboard” color scheme. If you wish to change the colors, please visit the Settings > Color Scheme screen. You can modify the colors individually or choose another default scheme from our 10 presets there.
As always, we hope you enjoy the changes and welcome any feedback you might have.
Reordering UI gets reworked
December 3rd, 2008Reordering items from within estimates, projects, and invoices has always been possible with Cashboard. However, up until now it’s been a bit of a hackish solution.
We finally did away with the separate item ordering screen, and you can now reorder items directly from the tables that they appear in.
Just click, drag, and drop them where they need to be. Check out the video for a demo.
The update will go live on the server this evening.
