News, Features & Updates

I was taking a look at our pricing plans today and noticed something…

There wasn’t a compelling reason to keep restricting the number of client logins you can create – so that restriction has been removed.

Now your account plan is only limited by employee logins and active project counts.

Who loves you baby? We do…

Windows XP / Yahoo! widget users, your cries of suffering have been heard loud and clear. Here’s a new version (1.6) of the Cashboard Timer for Yahoo! Widgets.

Looks like Yahoo! decided to break our timer when they launched their newest version of Widgets. (Those bastards…someone should take over their company in a hostile manner. That would show em…)

The new one has been tested on Widgets version 4.0-4.5+ and works like a champ again.

Our apologies for taking so long to jump on this.

Sick of lesser invoicing applications that force you to use ugly documents that look as if they’ve been designed by a programmer from the 1980s?

Fret no more, today Cashboard gives you full control of what your estimates and invoices look like.

You now have full control over your document templates with HTML and CSS

All paid accounts have access to the most flexible document templating system of its kind. You can edit what your templates look like, right down to the HTML and CSS code.

We’re using Liquid – a very robust template language, used by many popular web applications.

Of course, whatever you come up with can be turned into a PDF file with a click of the mouse. You’d expect nothing less from us, right?

Uploading files to use in customized documents

Upload images to our servers for use in your templates. Feel like putting in your company’s logo? Go right ahead…what about a scanned signature of yours? Nothing is stopping you – the sky is the limit.

What else can you do with customized templates besides making them look different?

Glad you asked, here are a few great ideas…

  • Change the language to your native tongue. Spanish, Chinese, German…
  • Add default terms to all of your estimates
  • Hide cash amounts on estimates
  • Do away with showing line items all together
  • Plaster your invoices with TAX INVOICE or GST text everywhere
(For you folks from New Zealand, Australia, and Canada)

Let us know what you’re doing with the new feature! We’ve created a whole new forum for sharing templates, and would love to see what everyone’s up to.

Enjoy, and happy invoicing.
