Configuring Authorize.net
July 3rd, 2007Cashboard allows you to accept online credit card payments with an Authorize.net merchant account.
Accepting credit card payments with Authorize.net
If your Cashboard account has been configured to accept payments via Authorize.net and your clients view an unpaid invoice, they will be given the opportunity to pay right from the page with a credit card.
After a payment is made, it will automatically be entered into your Cashboard account. You will also receive a notification email that a payment has been made. Your clients will never have to leave Cashboard for you to get paid.

How to get your Authorize.net API information
For existing Authorize.net customers, here’s how to get your API information.
- Visit Authorize.net and click on the Merchant Login link at the upper-right portion of the screen
- After you’ve logged in, click the Settings link, under ‘Account’, on the left hand side, near the bottom of the page
- From the resulting page that opens, click on the API Login ID and Transaction Key
Write down both the API Login ID and Transaction Key. These are what you will put into Cashboard.
Configuring Cashboard with your Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key
- Login to your Cashboard account as an administrator.
- Click on the Settings link
- Click on the Preferences / Integration sub-tab
- Scroll down until you “Payment Gateway Settings”
- Select Accept payments using Authorize.net, and enter your API Login ID and Transaction Key
- Press the Save Payment Settings button
Success!
Now your clients will be able to pay you online using their credit card directly from your invoices.
