Commenting and collaboration via email
March 19th, 2010There’s a lot of communication that goes on relating to invoices, estimates, and payments outside of Cashboard.
Most of this communication is scattered across email messages, making it hard to find. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could track all of this in one place with no hassle?
Now you can.

You and your clients can discuss documents online as shown above, or like you normally would – via email.
Your clients can still respond to email notices and those responses will be passed onto you. Nothing changes with your workflow, but now Cashboard will have a record of the entire discussion for you to view at any moment.

This commenting system has been enabled for invoices, estimates, and payments.
Just another way Cashboard makes your life easier.
How it works
Each commentable item inside Cashboard receives its own unique email address. This address will look something like app+[id]@cashboardapp.com.
Whenever you send an invoice, estimate, or payment it will come from this email address. Your customers can then respond to that email and post a comment directly to your Cashboard account. That comment will then be redirected to you.
Delivering emails from our domain also ensures a higher email reliability rate, instead of sending emails from your email address, but sent by our servers.
