July 30th, 2007Invoicing is a major part of Cashboard. Find out how to work with invoices here.
One time, or Scheduled?
Invoices can be created right now, or set for a schedule that you determine. After creating a schedule, invoices will be created automatically for you.

Importing time from your projects
Cashboard lets you import all the time you’ve logged for a client easily.
To do so, just select the project that you’d like to import items from at the bottom-right hand side of the Invoice Items screen, as shown.
You will be taken to a screen where you can import any tasks for that project that have unbilled time logged against them, along with items that have flat fees.
Select the items you’d like to import, and they’ll all be pulled into your invoice.
Invoicing for flat fees
If you’re a company that works on a flat-rate or fixed cost quote, you’re in luck. Cashboard will work for you too.
To set up an invoice in this manner, just use the Flat Fee entry box for your tasks. When you go to import items from a project you’ll be able to add any of the tasks that have not been marked as complete.
Importing time from your Basecamp account
Cashboard doesn’t stop at letting you import hours from our system. Easily import any time you’ve logged against your Basecamp account as well.
Invoicing for goods, products, and other items
Cashboard isn’t just for invoicing time…
Although Cashboard is service oriented software, nothing is stopping you from creating invoices for products, good, or other expenses that you need to pass onto your clients.
To do so, use the Add Line Item form, from the Invoices Items & Payments Screen
Using this, you can bill for materials or goods not covered by your time logged.
